Foreword from the Editor-in-Chief

2020 is the 4th year of the journal AJARCDE | Asian Journal of Applied Research for Community Development and Empowerment. In this fourth volume, we update the appearance of our website. We have made changes in this appearance in order to refresh our spirit and renew our commitment to publishing AJARCDE regularly 3 times a year, namely April, August, and December.

This year we added 2 technical editors who were in charge of website development to do editing on matters relating to technical issues of the manuscript before it was published. We hope this addition will improve the technical quality of the AJARCDE journal and also the quality of the contents of this journal.

Finally, I thank all the authors, reviewers and readers for their support. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any suggestions or comments for this journal. I look forward to receiving your manuscript contribution.

Special Issue for Proceeding of International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Energy (SAFE2019), Phuket. Thailand

The International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture, Food, and Energy (SAFE2019): Green Agrifood Energy Production for a Better World in a Changing Climate” held from October 19-21, 2019 in Phuket, Thailand, hosted by Phuket Rajabhat University, Chiang Mai University, and Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.  This conference was the 7^th annual conference after the 1^st International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture, Food, and Energy (SAFE2013) in Padang, Indonesia (12-14 May 2014),  the 2^nd conference SAFE2014 in Bali, Indonesia (17-19 September 2014).  The 3^rd conference SAFE2015 in Ho Chi Minh City, VIETNAM (17-19 November 2015),  4^th conference SAFE2016, Colombo, Sri Lanka (October 20-22, 2016), the 5^th conference SAFE2017, Malaysia, August 22-24, 2017 and 6^th  SAFE2018 Conference is Makati, Manila.  PHILIPPINES.   It had 6 parallel sessions (Agriculture Science and Technology, Energy, Environment, Food Science and Technology, Green Production and Innovation and Product Development) in SAFE2019 conference.  This special issue of  AJARCDE | Asian Journal of Applied Research for Community Development and Empowerment contains 16 papers presented in the Energy and Environment Session of SAFE2019. All of these papers were referred and selected in accordance with the usual editorial standards of this journal. We thank all of the authors for their submission, and all of the referees for their hard work during the selection process and also their valuable suggestions for improving the manuscripts.
